TV Junkie: 'Ugly Betty' Cast Up for Grabs; NBC's Winter Olympics Silver Lining

Jon Hamm returns to host "SNL" with Michael Bublé as musical guest - 11:25pm, Saturday, on NBC
Weekend EditionThe Hollywood Reporter put up more analysis of how NBC's bid on the Olympics does have a silver lining. While it's possible that NBC might lose $250 million on advertising during the Olympics broadcast, the network will expect surges in viewing all of its other shows and networks ("The Today Show", CNBC, MSNBC, etc.). If the US Olympic team performs well, viewership will undoubtedly increase which could mean unsold ad inventory could be sold at a premium - narrowing the losses. What NBC faces, however, is a lackluster lineup of programs once the Olympics are over.
---
ABC's "Ugly Betty" might be cancelled but the cast members are reportedly among the most sought after by other production companies. The production team is trying to wrap up filming on the final episodes so that the cast members can shoot pilots which usually happens at the beginning of March.
---
Saturday night, Jon Hamm returns to host "SNL" a second time. While the musical guest is promoted as Michael Bublé, supposedly he will be backed by the incredible Sharon Jones.
It's Grammys Weekend so that will be a focus for a lot of media this Sunday, what with Lady Gaga, etc. but before that we're going to check out The Weather Channel which will have some programming about the Winter Olympics, yes, weeks before NBC - and this is very selfishly interesting to us since we will be reporting to you for a week from the Olympics and we want to know what to expect there.
