TV Junkie: Super Bowl Ad Prices Fall, So What? 'Southland' Re-Premieres on TNT; The Bookies Call The Odds on Conan
There's a big stink being made about ad prices for the Super Bowl dropping. This is only the second time in over four decades that the price of a Super Bowl ad has dropped, it's not the end of television, we're in a recession. Depending upon what happens in the playoffs, the price could very well go up.
Please check out today's interview with Tom Everett Scott of "Southland" which re-premieres on TNT tonight at 10pm. You know Scott from the films That Thing You Do!, Boiler Room, and countless TV series. The pilot of the "Southland" series, which NBC axed because of Leno taking over the 10pm slot, will be aired without commercial break tonight and with several additional minutes of footage. The un-aired episodes of "Southland" begin airing in March but get re-acquainted with the series now, it's worth watching again.
We've written so much about the whole NBC/Leno/Conan thing we're giving it a rest. Check out this article if ye faithful want to see some options of What Would Conan Do?. If you want to see the spread on what Bookmaker.com thinks he will do, check out the table at the end of this post - it's pretty obvious what is going to happen.
Check out the hilarious and very NSFW uncensored outtakes from tonight's "Better Off Ted" (ABC @ 8:30 & 9:30pm) at the end of this post.
