TV Junkie: Guidovision Update; IMDb's STARmeter Rankings
As we surmised in the TV Junkie last week, MTV has removed the footage of a man punching a young woman in the face in their show "Jersey Shore" aka Guidovision after milking the shock value of the clip in promo after promo for the show. Ain't that classy? Some folks really love this show and some folks really love to rubberneck at gory traffic accidents, sometimes we think these are the same folks.
Frequent users/abusers/addicts of The Internet Movie Database might be aware of IMDb's STARmeter which tracks the popularity of all the actors, writers, etc. in the database based upon the activity of IMDb's 57+ million monthly users. The website has published the Top 100 STARmeter ranked individuals for 2009 with a comparison to the 2008 list. Here's our interview with #39, Kellan Lutz.
On Halloween we posted our interview with horror legend Robert Englund where we talked about his FearNet show, "Fear Clinic", and lookie here, Thomas Haden Church is joining the online network in a horror-comedy series called "Zombie Roadkill".
[Note: We're not all-excitedly writing up the "Dexter" and "Californication" finales because we're traveling and Tivo'd them so don't frickin' spoil it for us. It's also why @TheTVJunkie really hasn't been on Twitter either - forgive us.]
