Hey, due to previously scheduled travel and meetings, we didn't watch any TV last night, please tell us what you watched and what was good and what wasn't.

Tonight on FX has both the season finales of "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" and "The League". We've really enjoyed "The League" and think it's a show any true comedy fan should watch - we were thrilled to learn that FX has renewed the series with another 13 episodes to begin airing in late Summer 2010. Initially the promos for the show portrayed it as being integrally oriented with fantasy football down to specific player stats but in the actual series, the game is just a convenient device for some excellent performances. You absolutely do not have to be a football fan to enjoy this show to the fullest.

MTV's president of programming, Tony DiSanto, defended "Jersey Shore" in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. There was a lot of talk about "everybody [having their own] POV" and the fact that "not all these kids are fully Italian American" and the fact that Mr. DiSanto himself is an Italian American are all factors that must make this show just plain old entertainment. What's strange is that there was no mention of MTV's promo of the show featuring some meathead punching a young woman in the face but our guess is that MTV isn't running those anymore, so that must've been OK as well.
