TV Junkie: 'Britz' Premiere & 'Dexter' Creator Appears on Camera Sunday

Our June member drive is live: protect this resource!
Right now, we need your help during our short June member drive to keep the local news you read here every day going. This has been a challenging year, but with your help, we can get one step closer to closing our budget gap. Today, put a dollar value on the trustworthy reporting you rely on all year long. We can't hold those in power accountable and uplift voices from the community without your partnership.

This Sunday night at 8pm brings the premiere of "Britz" (pictured, right) on BBC America. "Britz" is a thriller featuring two young British Muslims, each pulled in different directions by personal experiences in post 9/11 Britain. This drama asks (perhaps a year or two late) whether the laws we think are making us safer, are actually putting us in greater danger.

"Dexter" fans take note: the author who created the Dexter character, Jeff Lindsay, makes a cameo in Sunday's episode.

In other TV news, The Hollywood Reporter reports that a Belgian TV crew was assaulted while reporting on AIDS in China, and a German TV producer was killed in the Mumbai terrorist attacks on Wednesday.
