We are impatiently counting down the days until Season 2 of True Detective airs on HBO. While we got our first little teaser last month, it was mostly a moody and artsy montage without any dialogue. But now folks, a true trailer has arrived that's much more intense with actual characters talking. And yes, there's more of Colin Farrell sporting a handlebar mustache.

This time around, we get a glimpse into the dark side of everyone. Vince Vaughn's voiceover of "sometimes your worst self is your best self" might just give us an idea of what's in store. We see Vince Vaughn do some menacing things in his role as a career criminal; Farrell's fists are all bloodied up; Rachel McAdams, who portrays a Ventura County Sheriff's detective, gets stabby; and Taylor Kitsch shows he's harboring some very dark secrets. Apparently, there's also a missing girl somewhere in the plot.

Also, on a good note, there are some panoramic shots of the downtown L.A. skyline and freeways. Go L.A.!
