There's an interesting event tonight at The Echo called Rock for Renters' Rights (Facebook event page). It's put on by the Eviction Defense Network, a non profit dedicated to taking a stand (and even the stand in court) on affordable housing issues and "ensuring access to justice in housing matters to tenants in Los Angeles County." Their ultimate goal is to ensure that no one faced with eviction does so without representation. They charge on a sliding scale based on income. The Holloys, Mayaztek, Chango, We Are Good Friends, Weba Garretson and Ralph Gorodetsky are all playing at the show.
