The monthly Let's Independent! event at Boardner's has a pretty sweet line-up tonight featuring indie locals. Headlining are the awesome "sad pop" band with horn section, The Minor Canon, opening is (((eagle winged palace))), a psychedelic folk act and Luke Top will be there in the mix. Let's Independent is Radio Free Silver Lake’s monthly independent music night.

Also, of interest tonight is Ninja Academy and Eye Podz playing at Safari Sam's after tonight's Guitar Hero competition (it's Virtual Tuesdays with KROQ). But if you're not ready for that, you can practice in front of a bar going crowd with Rock Band on Wednesday nights at the Hyperion Tavern.
