Tom Brokaw: Lindsay Lohan Ruined The White House Correspondents' Dinner
Listen, Lindsay Lohan has had her share of troubles. There was that whole stealing thing, and the multiple DUIs, and the rumors that she's a raging bitch on movie sets.
But does that mean that veteran TV reporter Tom Brokaw has to shit-talk her publicly?
Apparently it does. In an interview with Politico, the newsman came right out and said that he thinks LiLo herself single-handedly brought down the respectability of the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
In the interview, Brokaw talks about how the first celebrities to attend the dinner were the cast of "SNL," and that seemed "appropriate." But now, he says, things have gone downhill, and they pool at the bottom of said hill with Lindsay Lohan (notably, not with Kim Kardashian, which is something that Lohan should really think long and hard about).
“The breaking point for me was Lindsay Lohan...She became a big star at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Give me a break."
He adds that the event now has less self-respect than a high school dance.
“There was more dignity at my daughter’s junior prom than there is what I’m seeing on CSPAN.”
The dinner is scheduled to take place tomorrow, and will be headlined by Conan O'Brien.
