'The Periodic Table Of Los Angeles' Boils Down Our City's Stereotypes

Before you
Dear reader, we're asking you to help us keep local news available for all. Your financial support keeps our stories free to read, instead of hidden behind paywalls. We believe when reliable local reporting is widely available, the entire community benefits. Thank you for investing in your neighborhood.

There are a number of things that are very specific to our Los Angeles culture and attempts to boil down those stereotypes to a simple periodic table. (Channeling some Breaking Bad here.)

The periodic table is broken into categories such as things Angelenos "rave about" or "love to complain about." While some are spot on (such as how we love to complain about parking tickets and Obama visits and how we enjoy chatting up about In-N-Out and brunch), we have to refute that we have a ton of hippies in our town and the spelling of "Venice Boardwalk" is a little suspect here.

You can check out a larger version of the periodic table here.
