So Bad It's Good Film Fest: Road House
Everyone has a guilty pleasure when it comes to terrible movies (mine is Autumn in New York--don't ask). Tonight at the glorious old Vistain Los Feliz, the good people from the So Bad It's Good Film Fest will be screening one of the true standards of the genre: Road House. Patrick Swayze stars as James Dalton, a "cooler" who is brought in to tame the rowdy Double Deuce bar in Jasper, Missouri where he intones such memorably awful lines as, "I want you to be nice until it's time to not be nice."
If you need any further encouragement to attend, there will be a mullet contest right before the screening. First prize is a guest appearance on Fox TV's "That's So Hollywood" along with a $50 gift certificate to the Saddle Ranch Chop House. Also, Video Journeys in Silverlake will be giving away posters and DVDs and if you go to the Cafe at the Vista today or tomorrow and yell "Road House Rocks", you get a free coffee with any purchase. The screening starts at midnight and tickets are $10. Go get good and drunk at Ye Rustic Inn first.
The Vista is located at 4473 Sunset Drive
