LALA Arts Puts Street Art on Billboards Throughout City

L.A. street artists have had their share of difficulty getting the city to allow murals to stay up once they've been installed. But now, a new project is proving that there's a way around certain restrictive ordinances: a group called LALA Arts is launching the second part of an effort to erect art on billboards throughout the city.

The project is called Public Works, and participating artists include Ron English, Shepard Fairey and Revok, and pieces have gone up from West L.A. to the Valley to downtown. Here are some of the images.
