Photos: Hanksy Leaves it to Bieber in LA

Before you
Dear reader, we're asking you to help us keep local news available for all. Your financial support keeps our stories free to read, instead of hidden behind paywalls. We believe when reliable local reporting is widely available, the entire community benefits. Thank you for investing in your neighborhood.

While New York may be a little (too?) preoccupied with Banksy right now, one of our favorite street artists Tom Hanksy has slipped back into LA twice this month leaving his lol-worthy pop references around town.

The NYC-based Hanksy got his start (and name) superimposing Tom Hanks' face on Banksy-inspired works, but now has earned his own cred by adding witticisms and wordplay as he pokes fun of celebs and pop culture in general.

Biebs and Miley served as his muses in this most recent go-round (located on Melrose near Fuller). And the rest of the photos in the gallery were taken in DTLA near 2nd and Vignes.
