Netflix has just unveiled the first photos from the prequel series to the 2001 cult classic Wet Hot American Summer, and we can't wait to go back to Camp Firewood this summer.

This is our first look at the anticipated eight-episode Netflix comedy series, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, which will bring back a lot of familiar, now-much-more-famous stars and several welcome new additions to the camp roster.

Netflix has also pushed back the release date to July 31st, two weeks later than the date announced earlier this year.

The summer camp parody is bringing back all of the key members of the all-star original cast, according to Entertainment Weekly, including Elizabeth Banks, Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Michael Ian Black, Michael Showalter, Christopher Meloni, Ken Marino, Judah Friedlander, Joe Lo Truglio, Marguerite Moreau, and Zak Orth.

The series also promises recurring roles and guest-star appearances from the likes of Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Chris Pine, and Jason Schwartzman.

While the ridiculous antics of original movie took place on the last day of camp in 1981, the series will begin on the first day of camp for the counselors and staff. Talk of the followup has been buzzing for years, and while the actors are now quite a bit older than when they first played roles that they were already a bit old for, we don't care. It will surely only add to the wonderful absurdity of the story.
