Photo: Here's What Metro's Bike-Share Bikes Will Look Like
You can't miss it once you see it, but that is definitely Metro's bike. The city's new bike-sharing program is expected to launch next year in downtown L.A., and the design for the bikes was dug up by L.A. Streetsblog in the agenda for a Metro staff meeting scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
Unsurprisingly, it looks basically like New York's Citi Bikes, except plastered in Metro livery. Curbed L.A. speculates the design is simply branded Metro because the program was delayed a few years ago over advertiser disputes, but the image could also just be a placeholder until Metro snags a sponsor.
