FILM TRIBUTE: There’s a special screening of a restored 35mm print of David Lynch’s 1977 film Eraserhead. The screening’s part of a tribute to Peter Ivers, who collaborated with Lynch in writing the song “In Heaven” for the movie. Also at the tribute will be author Josh Frank, who just released the Ivers’ biography In Heaven Everything is Fine.

PERFORMANCE*: There’s Politaoke tonight at the Echo Park Film Center. Audience members get to recite political speeches of today's most important politicians any way they see fit. Completely bipartisan, Politaoke allows the audience to decide how to interpret each politician's words, whether serious or in a sarcastic manner. The politician's speeches and interviews are provided, word for word, only edited into sections (songs) of 1 - 8 minutes. A series of debates, interviews and television appearances are also provided as duets.” The fun begins at 8 pm.
