Many of us have the day off for President's Day, and we found a number of great events starting on the early side today. On the short list: a Target Free Holiday Monday at LACMA, a Looney Toons fest, The Benson Interruption, music for a school night and Pete Wentz reading of his new novel. Read on for all the details.

It’s a Target Free Holiday Monday at LACMA beginning at 11 am. A free, general admission ticket required to take advantage of the free day. The special free price does not include admission to Stanley Kubrick.

Cinefamily and the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity are hosting a Looney Tunes-a-Palooza today from 1-7 pm. That’s six hours of Bugs Bunny, Tweety, Sylvester, Elmer Fudd and other Chuck Jones and Warner Brothers creations plus a few behind-the-scenes footage, uncensored cartoons and odds and ends. The program is hosted by cartoon historian Jerry Beck. Tickets: $15, free for Cinefamily members.
