It's the end of a long, short week, and we're glad it's Friday. Here's what's happening around LA tonight—lots of comedy from a Tin Pan Alley radio serial show to a live taping of a comedy album; Kim Gordon has a post-Sonic Youth performance; KCRW travels eastward for a pop-up and there's a beer and cheese night in SaMo. Read on for all the details.

ART + COMEDY
There’s a free comedy show tonight at 8 pm in the Coagula Curatorial art gallery in Chinatown. Hosted by Tony Bartolone, the night’s lineup includes Allen Strickland Williams, Nikki Limo, Pat Regan, Ron Babcock, Scout Durwood, Joe Wengert and perhaps a few surprise guests. There’s no cover and no drink minimum. Everything is free, especially the laughs. Stick around to view the gallery’s current exhibition, Lust Letters, too.

MUSIC
At Dilettante in DTLA, Kim Gordon (with guitarist Bill Nace) performs with her first post-Sonic Youth Band, Body/Head. Horsebladder opens the show, and Kim’s also curating the art show in the gallery featuring the work of Jennifer Herrema of Royal Trux is showing in the gallery. Tickets: $15. 9 pm.

POP-UP GALLERY
KCRW crosses the 405 and ventures east tonight for a Pop-up Gallery at Atwater Crossing. The gallery features the behind-the-scenes artist portraits and photographs from Morning Becomes Eclectic taken by longtime KCRW photog Larry Hirshowitz. (There’s even going to be a raffle for one of his framed prints.) Spinning tonight are DJs Anne Litt and Travis Holcombe. The all ages event is free and runs from 7:30-10:30 pm. In addition to food and cocktails from the ATX Kitchen, the Coolhaus and Border Grill trucks are expected tonight, too.
