DOUBLE FEATURE
As part of a nationwide celebration, Fox is presenting "Hometown Hollywood" events in 15 cities, featuring films being shown in the cities in which they were shot and by which they were inspired. Los Angeles equals starlets, pills, and booze, apparently, ergo tonight's double feature at The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood of Valley of the Dolls (1967) and Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970). The evening will be emceed by the incomparable Jackie Beat who played Helen Lawson in the off Broadway NYC production. 7:30 PM. Tickets.

READING/SIGNING
Author Rick Moody ("The Diviners") will read and sign his sprawling new novel -- an "adaptation" of a (fictional) 1960s pulp horror movie at Skylight Books tonight in Los Feliz. The Four Fingers of Death is said to be a tome that lovers of Pynchon and Vonnegut will love. 7:30PM. Free.

CABARET NIGHT
Royal/T in Culver City presents a Cabaret night with Soul Sisters LIVE tonight as part of their ongoing Nighttime at Royal/T art and cabaret series. Soul Sisters LIVE are a duo of singing female/character illusionists starring the humorous and uplifting Lady Red Couture and the alluring and vivacious Roxy Wood.
