This morning, the Grammy Museum re-installed and re-opened their recent special exhibit, Michael Jackson: HIStyle, featuring a collection of Jackson’s most iconic wardrobe pieces (including the suit he wore on the cover of the Thriller album). The exhibit is back and available for viewing on the Museum’s third floor alongside video of some of his most exciting GRAMMY performances.

LAist is stoked about the three-day style and design event Dwell on Design, taking place today, tomorrow, and Sunday. Exhibits, panels, and special events are taking place all over town, and while we're most excited about some of the on stage speakers and panels this weekend and tomorrow night's movie & mobile food event, things get underway today at the Convention Center for the Dwell on Design Exhibition, open to Trade and Dwell Conference Plus ticket holders only until 8 p.m.

Another design-centered weekend kicks off today. CA Boom is at the Robinson's Store in Beverly Hills, and there's tons of design and architecture exhibits, tours, speakers, and events to take part in. Check out their site for the full schedule to see what you can see (including exclusive tours of famous landmark homes like the Stahl House, aka Koenig's Case Study #22).

It's happening only until 6 this evening, so if you've got some free time in the next couple of hours, you might want to check out the California Rising sample sale. They are seriously clearing out their men's, women's and kids apparel; t-shirts will range from $5-$10; a $25-40 table; women's retail will be wholesale. It's at the NoHo Lofts (5355 Cartwright Ave. #306 in North Hollywood).

Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Friday Night Jazz series keeps swingin' tonight with a performance by Sweet Baby J'ai, the critically acclaimed singer, songwriter, producer, arranger, and actress known for her wide variety of musical styles. The performance is free, and happens from 6-8 at the BP Grand Entrance of LACMA.
