Instagram compiled a list of the places that people are most likely to snap a shot using the app. Apparently, Instagram is mad popular in Thailand and nabbed the top two spots, but Southern California had a strong showing with five of the top ten sites:

Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) ท่าอา?าศยานสุวรรณภูมิ in Bangkok, Thailand
Siam Paragon (สยามพารา?อน) shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand
Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California
Times Square in New York City
AT&T Park in San Francisco
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles
Eiffel Tower in Paris
Staples Center in Los Angeles
Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles

It seems this list says a little bit more about who is taking the pictures than anything inherently photogenic about the geographic sites (the Eiffel Tower and Santa Monica Pier notwithstanding). Like, who thought airports would be such popular places to take pictures? We scrolled through some of the photos, and it looks like people enjoy snapping photos of their tickets, passports or even luggage carousels to let people know that they're out of town or on their way home (sometimes with a Rich Kids of Instagram vibe).
