Mayim Bialik and Husband of Nine Years Are Divorcing
Attachment parenting might keep kids engaged with their mothers, but apparently it cannot keep marriages intact; Mayim Bialik announced today that she's splitting from her husband of nine years, Michael Stone.
In a statement posted on her website, the actress announced that she and Stone are parting ways due to "Irreconcilable differences." Knowing, apparently, that people would jump to talk about her extremely controversial parenting style (attachment parenting is the method that insists on breast-feeding children well into their toddler years), Bialik added that:
The hands-on style of parenting we practice played no role in the changes that led to this decision; relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose.
She also notes that the couple's main concern is their children, and that they'll be working on negotiating having them live in two "loving homes."
