Lindsay Lohan Passes the Buck on Big Hotel Bill
When news breaks that you may have stiffed a popular, posh L.A. hotel for over $46,000 in charges, you've got some 'splaining to do. In response to allegations Lindsay Lohan bilked the Chateau Marmont for room, minibar, and restaurant charges this summer, the actress apparently is passing the buck to the producers of her latest project.
Lohan says the producers of the Elizabeth Taylor TV biopic "Liz and Dick" were supposed to pay her massive tab, but TMZ reports their moles say not a chance. In fact, the gossip site calls her story "BS."
More from TMZ:
Sources connected to Lindsay tell us ... producers did give Lindsay a one-time only, $5,000 advance against her salary in late May so she could move into the hotel, but that was it. There was never even an insinuation the production company would pay her hotel bill.
Perhaps the confusion comes from Lohan's bout with exhaustion, which took her out during "Liz and Dick" filming in Marina Del Rey a few weeks ago. Or maybe, like when she may have handed off $100,000 in jewelry to some buddies while at a Hollywood Hills house party, Lohan got the info about the hotel comp while she was "hazy" on Ambien. It happens, right?
Lohan says if the production company doesn't pay the Chateau Marmont bill, she will. Right now, Lohan is banned from the property. (Pout.)
All this negativity can really harsh a starlet's mellow. Haters gonna hate, right? Poor LiLo:
