Lightning In A Bottle Lineup Includes Grimes And Jamie xx

Our June member drive is live: protect this resource!
Right now, we need your help during our short June member drive to keep the local news you read here every day going. This has been a challenging year, but with your help, we can get one step closer to closing our budget gap. Today, put a dollar value on the trustworthy reporting you rely on all year long. We can't hold those in power accountable and uplift voices from the community without your partnership.

Lighting in a Bottle has released their 2016 lineup, which includes headlining acts such as Grimes, Jamie xx and Chet Faker.Do LaB's Lighting in a Bottle festival will take place in Bradley in Monterey County over Memorial Day Weekend (May 25 to 30). They announced their official lineup today, which also includes Moderat, Four Tet, Cashmere Cat, Big Gigantic, Tokimonsta, Lee Burridge, The Polish Ambassador, the Lucent Dossier Experience and William Close and the Earth Harp across three stages. (We got to see William Harp play his giant harp in downtown L.A. in December.)

Lightning in a Bottle has a pretty strong focus on being both green and extra chill, and therefore has a number of installations dedicated to wellness and self-awareness. You can even expect to see a yoga lineup, visit the Lucent Temple of Consciousness for talks and workshops, or head to The Village where you can learn about meditation and sustainable food. There's also Amori's Casino & Burlesque (no explanation required). They have a lot of art installations throughout the massive Native American reservation, where the event is held and where you'll camp throughout the weekend. In the past, we've seen Moby and YouTube founder Chad Hurley do talks, danced at night in a Silent Disco, seen lots of folks dressed like Burners and learned how to make seitan.

Here's the fest's full lineup:
