Pittsburgh Pirates defeat LA Dodgers 15-8. So I'm on the other coast not paying attention while they win and Juan fucking Pierre hits a home run, and I come back and they give up eight runs in the seventh inning. All I have to say is at least there was more scoring than the Auburn-Mississippi State game on Saturday. But whatever. The Dodgers can't win every game, and at least they have a decent lead in the division.

Oakland A's defeat LA Angels 3-2. They were quiet all game, but the Angels finally scored getting two in the top of the ninth to take the 2-1. But the A's came back in the bottom of the ninth scoring twice, the final thanks to a Francisco Rodriguez throwing error. The world's heralded closer got no one out in the frame. The Angels have now lost 11 of their last 16 road games. That will not work in the playoffs.
