LA Dodgers defeat Chicago Cubs 8-5. An 18 minute power outage couldn't silence the Dodger bats. Casey Blake hit a solo homer in the ninth inning while James Loney went 3-for-5, a homer short of the cycle.

LA Angels defeat Toronto Blue Jays 6-5. Bobby Abreu hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to give the Angels the series win.
