LA Dodgers defeat Chicago Cubs 8-5. An 18 minute power outage couldn't silence the Dodger bats. The Dodgers took advantage of three Cubs errors, although the Dodgers didn't play cleanly either with two errors of their own. Casey Blake hit a solo homer in the ninth inning while James Loney went 3-for-5, a homer short of the cycle.

LA Angels defeat Toronto Blue Jays 6-5. Bobby Abreu hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to give the Angels the series win.
