LAst Night's Action: Clippers Continue to Hermmorage
San Antonio Spurs defeat LA Clippers 106-78. At the end of the first quarter, Fred Jones hit a 62-footer from just beyond mid court that beat the buzzer and hit nothing but net. That's all for Clippers highlights in this game.
- Oakland Raiders linebacker Marquis Cooper and free agent defensive lineman Corey Smith along with former University of South Florida football player William Bleakley are still missing off the coast of Florida after Cooper's 21-foot boat overturned in the choppy stormy waters. Former USF player Nick Schuyler was found still clinging to the boat Monday afternoon. Reportedly the boat capsized while anchored Saturday night and was found Monday afternoon 35 miles off Clearwater, FL. Apparently all four men were wearing life jackets. Schuyler was weak and suffering from dehydration and hypothermia when found. The Coast Guard is continuing search operations for the three men still missing.
- Lots of movement this weekend in the NFL as free agency hit. TJ Houshmandzadeh signed with the Seattle Seahawks, the Kansas City Chiefs traded for Matt Cassell and Mike Vrabel from the New England Patriots, there was a Kurt Warner sighting in 49ers land and Denver Bronco's quarterback Jay Cutler is pissed off about being trade bait.
