UCLA Bruins defeat California Golden Bears 81-66. A 20-4 run to start the second half was all it took for the Bruins to dispatch Cal. The Bruins three-point shooting returned to form while Cal just fumbled along in the second half coughing up the ball. The Bruins are now tied for first place in the Pac-10 with the Washington Huskies who lost to Arizona.

USC Trojans defeat Stanford Cardinal 70-69. It was a tight game throughout, but the Trojans manage to hang on after the Cardinal's Lawrence Hill's jumper went in and out of the basket as time expired. It's amazing how gritty these Trojans are and managing to win close games during conference play.

LA Kings defeat Chicago Blackhawks 5-2. Rob Blagojavich gets thrown out of Springfield, and the Kings throw the Blackhawks out of Staples. The Kings jumped on the Hawks early scoring two goals in less than two minute, and they never let up. With a 3-0 going into the third period, not only did they not give up the lead they actually scored two more times.
