LAst Night's Action: One Up, One Down
Colorado Rockies defeat LA Dodgers 2-1. Matt Kemp missing the pitch on a hit-and-run leading to Juan Pierre being caught stealing second to end the inning and only one base runner to make it to second base (scoring the lone run) adds up to yet another Dodger loss at the hands of the worst team in baseball. I was privileged to be at the game to witness starter Clayton Kershaw's awesome curve ball. But no run support equals no win unfortunately. I am not looking forward to this four-game series against the Cubs starting tomorrow.
LA Angels defeat Seattle Mariners 5-4. On the other end of the spectrum, the Angels completed their first series sweep of the season against the Mariners. Unlike the Dodgers, the Angel's offense gives their starters enough run support. And unlike the Dodgers the Angels are winning.
LA Lakers at Boston Celtics. Tonight's the night. The NBA Finals begin and basketball fans worldwide are foaming at the mouth. I cannot wait. 6:00 pm ABC, AM 570 KLAC.
Chicago Cubs at LA Dodgers. I really can't watch this. The consolation though is that it's Takashi Saito bobblehead night. Ryan Dempster goes to the hill against Chad Billingsley. 7:10 pm KCAL9, AM 790 KABC.
Chivas USA at NY Red Bulls. Chivas are taking their three-game winning streak on the road. 4:30 pm ESPN2.
