Houston Astros over LA Dodgers 5-0. For the third straight game the Dodger offense looked flat as the Astros were all over start Chad Billingsley who gave up all five runs in the first two innings. The only real positive for the Dodgers was their bullpen with Chan Ho Park pitching a shut out for three innings and Joe Beimel pitching a perfect ninth.

Tampa Bay Rays over LA Angels 2-0. This was yet another great pitching duel between the Rays and the Angels only this game didn't have the ninth-inning dramatics that occurred Friday night. Joe Saunders for the Angels got his first loss giving up one run on four hits and fpur walks over six innings. On the other side Scott Kazmir was just a smidgen better going six shut-out innings with three hits, three walks and six strikeouts. My only thought is they were saving the offense for their mothers.

NY Red Bulls defeat LA Galaxy 2-1. It was a night of missed opportunities for the Galaxy. They looked poised to score two quick goals in the first three minutes only to have a Landon Donavon goal saved by Jon Conway and an Alan Gordon goal called off for offsides. From that point on it was all Red Bulls. Even when the Galaxy tied the game in the 77th minute on a Gordon goal, the Red Bulls responded in the next minute with a goal by Juan Pablo Angel.

NY Dragons defeat LA Avengers 52-48. After trailing 20-0, the Avengers managed to come back and take the lead in the third quarter. With 12 seconds left in the game and trailing 52-48 on second-and-goal, Avenger's quarterback Sonny Cumbie completed a pass to Delmoncio Montgomery in the end zone. The only problem was that Montgomery was wearing a Dragon's uniform. D'oh!
