Isabella Rossellini Will Perform 'Green Porno' Live At The Natural History Museum
Isabella Rossellini has been exploring the mating rituals of insects and animals via her Sundance web series Green Porno since 2008. And next month, she's going to do a live version of the show at the Natural History Museum.
Green Porno launched in 2008, and explains the mating rituals of animals and insects, using Isabella Rossellini dressed in elaborate costumes, who narrates the show while interacting with cardboard cut-outs and other props and effects. The first season was primarily insects, but season two focused on sea animals while season three dealt with sea life impacted by commercial fishing.
Green Porno Live! is written by Jean-Claude Carriere and will feature and hour and a half of scandalous animal behavior. Beforehand, guests have a chance to grab a drink and interact with the museum's life-size dino puppets that will be lurking about.
If the live version is anything like the web series, we can expect a bizarre, funny, yet educational affair, with a slightly uncomfortable dash of sensuality. The museum notes that this event is more appropriate for those guests who are 18 or older. Probably because of stuff like this:
'Green Porno Live!' will be performed on Saturday, October 11, 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Natural History Museum, 900 Exposition Blvd., Los Angeles. $27, members; $30, non-members. More into here.
