Happy 10th Birthday, Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific!

On Friday, June 20th, the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific will reach its one-decade milestone. In honor of the occasion, they have launched a year-long celebration at the marine life-themed attraction with various events, contests, exhibits, and features centered around the number 10.
The ten-sanity is abundant: You can find out their picks for their top 10 favorite animals, catch their 10th anniversary movie, "win one of 10 daily prizes, and learn the 10 most important things you should know about the ocean." One savings-oriented promo right now is that people born on the 10th of any month (with valid ID) can get in for $10, and starting next Sunday, June 22, the Aquarium will stay open until 10 p.m. on Sundays through the summer.
Right now they're wrapping up a big contest you can enter from the comfort of your own home (computer) once you've uploading some pics of the Aquarium to Flickr. They're running a "Top Ten Photo" contest on the photo-sharing site (our pic above by LAist Featured Photos contributor GarySe7en is in the contest pool, too), so dive on in, if you can!
And if you want to head down to Long Beach today (and celebrate Dad's Day, perhaps?) they're open until 6 p.m., with Father's Day activities Noon-2 p.m.
