Billy Joel may have asked if you were gonna cruise the Miracle Mile, but Wilshire isn't the only fun drive to take in town. Today's video lunch is a ride back in time, circa 1964, along the Sunset Strip. Booze billboards, restaurants, shops, and clubs line the streets, as proof of a rising and increasingly-crowded skyline hover to the side. Recognize anything? It would just be a couple of more years before those sidewalks would become a wild playground of the local rock scene. Relax and enjoy the ride.

Oh, and just in case you wanted to cruise the Miracle Mile, try this bonus vid of Wilshire at night in 1967.
