GET INTO HANNUKAH*, LOUNGE STYLE
Celebrate the first of eight nights of lights with some tacos and music--because "Fried food and Hanuka go hand in hand!" It's A Lounge Singer Hanuka with special guest David De La Paz, featuring Paula Horowitz, happening for free tonight ($1.50 fish tacos & $2 shrimp tacos and donation bar) at 5 p.m. at Best Fish Taco in Ensenada (which is actually in Los Feliz). No RSVP necessary, and the show is be family friendly, but may (briefly) touch on mature subjects. (*So many ways to spell it!)

GET UNSILENT
So basically a bunch of people gather in a public space (Pan-Pacific Regional Park @7600 Beverly Blvd) and pick up their reserved CD, cassette, or mp3, and at 7 p.m. a parade hits the streets carrying the collective sounds everyone is sporting--it's Unsilent Night. Of course, you can also just head down to hear the sounds of Unsilence, too! They'll be taking voluntary $1 donations for the LA Regional Food Bank. If you want to reserve an "instrument" send an email to UnsilentNightLA@gmail.com.
