COUNTRY: If you like country and BBQ, head over to the Echo today for their weekly "Grand Ole Echo." They have a great line-up, including Leslie Stevens, Susan James and Ladies Gun Club. The show is free and starts at 5 pm.

FOOD: If you like tomatoes or tomahhhtoes, head over to the Hollywood Farmers Market, which is hosting a Tomato Festival as we speak. There will be special demos from Laura Taylor, a tomato specialist who grows over 100 varieties of tomatoes and teaches over 30 classes a year. It lasts until noon today. Admission is free.

ART: Davida Nemeroff & Samara Golden are collaborating in the exhibit "Modern Painters," which is opening today at the relatively new Abbot Kinney space VARIOUS SMALL FIRES. The exhibit features the artists in a series of on-camera conversations in which they explore their relationship to each other and the concept of the sixth dimension (whatever that means). The reception lasts from 4 until 7 pm at 1212 Abbot Kinney Boulevard. It will be on display until the end of the month.
