The 5th Annual Pasadena ARTWalk
The Pasadena ARTWalk is Pasadena's largest urban art fair. Head to Colorado Blvd. & El Molino Ave between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to join in the free, open-to-everyone event. The event highlights some of the best Southern Californian visual artists showcasing their work in painting, sculpture, watercolor, photography, mixed media, ceramics, jewelry, drawings and printmaking.
Food Truck Round-Up Fundraiser
10 of the city's popular food trucks will be gathered from 4-8 p.m. this evening to raise funds for the John Wayne Cancer Institute. Hosted by Partners in Progress, in addition to the food trucks in the parking lot, there will be a DJ and silent auction. A portion of all proceeds will go to funding cancer research at the institute. Gourmet Trucks that will be in attendance: Dim Sum, Shave Ice Truck, Komodo, India Jones, The Place LA, Dumpling Station, Great Balls on Tires, Big Swirl, Lee’s Philly, Uncle Lau’s. @John Wayne Cancer Institute' s Parking Lot H (enter on 21st Street); 2200 Santa Monica Boulevard.
Beyond Eden @ Barnsdall Park/Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery
Beyond Eden is entirely Los Angeles gallery and artist based and celebrates our very own vibrant and essential New Contemporary Art Scene with exhibitions and installations from La Luz de Jesus, Thinkspace, Copro, Crewest, CAVE, Carmichael and LeBasse Projects. Tonight: Artist Robert Williams will receive a lifetime achievement award, the traveling Cannibal Flower art collective will present a 10 year anniversary exhibition, the film "New Brow" will be screened throughout the event and the Beyond Eden Bar will donate proceeds to the Latino Arts LA fund. Kasier Permanente will be donating FREE parking for the event as well. 6-11 p.m.
Long Beach Street Food Fest
Almost 30 food trucks will be gathered at Rainbow Lagoon Park in Long Beach for the Street Food Fest. They'll be offering an abbreviated version of their menus for sale (in addition to the $8 admission at the door). Bring a chair or a blanket, but leave the dogs at home. 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
