Paul Pescador's "Shangrila" @ Neon Gallery at CSULB
Neon Gallery is an artist-run space located within the Graduate Sculpture Studios at CSU Long Beach. Tonight is the opening night for what sounds like a pretty cool performance installation by Paul Pescador. "Working in relation to the gallery’s contained position within the working studios, Paul Pescador's performance installation, 'Shangrila,' engages the viewer’s sense of memory, examining the absence and presence of the performative gesture using o...bjects, photography and performance. Pescador's project is the first in a series, which will continue throughout the month of September." 5-9PM. Free. (Take 7th Street from the 405 or 22 freeway and make a right on E. Campus Drive. Parking is available in Lots 7 & 8A.)
