It turns out the gang shooting that took place over the weekend on the House of Lies filming in Watts might not have had anything to do with rival gang turf-wars, but rather an an outcry against the production.

The gang leader—who goes by the elusive name of "P"—told TMZ that his gang fired shots because they felt disrespected by the production crew for making dough off of their town, but not giving back to their community. He also added that they didn't shoot at anyone, but up in the air. Nobody was injured during the shooting.

"It would be different if they (producers) went there and helped out my hood... but they want to use it to make a million and not give us s**t," P said.

The shooting happened when the crew was at a housing project, just after Don Cheadle, Kristen Bell, and T.I. finished filming one of their scenes.
