Couple Lost On First Date Get Rescued By Helicopter
A first date for two potential lovebirds ended in an unexpected manner in Angeles National Forest.
"He wrapped his legs around me," said Tina Mirzakhaniann as she explained how intimate things got. "And we started basically going up into the helicopter."
Mirzakhaniann and Shaunt Ghazeri were on a first date, hiking the Dawn Mine Trail in the foothills above Altadena, when they got lost and were rescued via helicopter. The man wrapping his legs around Mirzakhaniann, though, was not Ghazeri, but a member of the air rescue team. According to Ghazeri, things were apparently going so well that they got lost in conversation and couldn't find their way back down. "We were just talking and I lost my sense of direction and took a wrong turn somewhere," he told KTLA.
Luckily, the two had enough cell service in their neck of the Angeles National Forest and were able to call for help. They figured some hikers or deputies in the area would lead them back down, but wanting to take advantage of the situation, authorities gave them an unexpected surprise. "They called us back and said, 'We have a helicopter in the area we're going to send over to you—they're training and this is a good opportunity for them,'" said Gahzeri.
If only the rest of us had a helicopter to rescue us from most first dates!
Although the wisdom of the film Speed dictates that "relationships based on intense experiences never work," there could be a bright future for these two kids.
"For me this was crazy because I love adventurous stuff like that," said Mirzakhaniann. Watch out, Shaunt!
