Dontcha Know: 'Fargo' to Become a TV Show
Every now and then, something happens on television that we can all get behind. Sometimes it's the cancelling of a bad show, sometimes it's the renewal of a good show. Sometimes it's just a feud that's mildly entertaining to follow.
But today, we can celebrate FX's decision to turn the 1996 Coen brothers movie "Fargo" into a 10-episode TV show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the mini-series is slated to debut on the network in spring of 2014.
Joel and Ethan Coen will serve as executive producers on the project, and the script will be written by Noah Hawley.
The movie "Fargo," set in the North Dakota town, earned Frances McDormand an Oscar for Best Actress, and the Coen brothers an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.
