Coachella 2017 Passes To Go On Sale Tomorrow Morning
Your sunburn from this year's Coachella may have only just finished healing, but it's already time to plan for Coachella 2017. Goldenvoice has announced the dates for the 2017 Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival, and the best weekend of your life, parts un and deaux, will be officially be happening April 14-16 and April 21-23, 2017. Passes for both of the three-day weekends will go on sale Wednesday at 11 a.m. No word yet on which one will be the "cool" weekend.
Given that Coachella 2016 ended on April 24, and your idiot friends probably continued to post their idiot pictures and tell their idiot stories for a full two weeks after the fact—which would put this year's official Coachella consumption end-date at May 7, by our estimates—it now seems that there is only a single Coachella-free month of the year. And it ended yesterday, June 6, when Goldenvoice announced the 2017 dates. Let the rampant headliner speculation (Editor's note: my money's on The Smiths), accommodation hunting and outfit planning begin. You can run but you can't hide.
General admission festival passes are selling for $399. VIP passes—which include Instagram location cachet, access to nicer porta-potties and some overhead shade—will cost you a cool $899, despite the lack of a free bar. VIP parking will also be sold separately, at $150 a car. Needless to say, there will be no camping in the VIP parking lot. You can buy no more than two passes per weekend during tomorrow's advance sale, but you can buy passes for both weekends, if you are truly a masochist. The L.A. Times reports that those prices include all fees, though honestly I would never underestimate Coachella's ability to tack on a few more.
Also of note: if you plan to take advantage of Goldenvoice's interest-free payment plan, tomorrow's pre-sale day will be your one-and-only opportunity to do so. Because the only thing that sounds more depressing than blowing 400 bucks tomorrow on Coachella tix is sending in $57 dollars a month for the next seven. Awesome!
Tickets can be purchased here at or after 11:00 a.m. tomorrow. See you guys at the polo fields!!
