What better way is there really to start off your week than a trip to the Hotel Cafe? Tonight's offerings are very sweet indeed with Brandi Shearer taking the stage at 8pm. Her record, Close To Dark, will be released on August 28th through Amoeba Records. Brandi's croonings are soft and sweet and won't disappoint.

As for the label - that's right, Amoeba the Store, is now also Amoeba the Recordings and as they proudly state:

Amoeba Records is a label where the music that moves us can find the home it so richly deserves. Artists we’ve discovered in our stores, recordings made but unheard, or any other sound that we feel the world simply has to hear. It’s the kind of label that’ll launch with musical gems ranging from hot new artists such as the singer-songwriter, Brandi Shearer, to the rare recordings from musical legends such as Gram Parsons and the Flying Burrito Brothers.
