Last night was Katie Couric's debut on CBS -- and she had a scoop for those watching. No not secret government prisons or anything like that -- but photos of the just as mysterious Suri Cruise.

The nearly 5-month-old scion of the Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes pairing will make her debut in a 22-page Vanity Fair spread that will be released next week.

Now LAist got a look at the cover of the magazine and something just seems...off.

Is it the baby's head that's a little large? Is it that her hair looks like an old man's toupee? Or could it be that she looks like one of those morphing photo booths you find in Vegas or Conan O'Brien's "What if They Mated" segment?

What it is exactly, we can't quite put our finger on. But what we know for damn sure is that mom and dad certainly know how to stir the publicity pot until it boils over.
