L.A. Firefighters Crush Derby Dolls in Game of Broomball

It was good times this morning as the sexy women of the Los Angeles Derby Dolls and hunky men of the Los Angeles Fire Department met in downtown's Pershing Square for a broomball brawl on the park's winter ice skating rink. The game was a fundraiser for the LAFD Widows, Orphan and Disabled Fireman’s Fund .

“We stay in shape with our jobs and training is a part of our lifestyle, so we’re confident that we will be able to run them up and down the ice for the full hour,” said Fire Captain Justin Bactat, the team's captain.

Bactat was right. The final score was 17 to 8, LAFD.

"They might have talent, but we cheated like winners," tweeted Derby Doll Cherrylicious . "Congrats firemen!" After the game, it was time for breakfast beers, apparently another competition (of sorts) in which the Dolls won.
