A dental assistant was arrested on suspicion of molesting a 15-year-old girl during dental visits over the past six months.Saul Robles, 36, of Lincoln Heights worked for the past four years as a dental assistant at SmileCare Dental, which has offices in Rosemead and Bellflower. (And he has been a dental assistant for six years altogether.) He was arrested at the Rosemead office on March 5, according to a press release from the sheriff's department. The victim told her parents about the alleged molestation, and they called authorities.

SmileCare released a statement about the charges: "Prior to being notified by law enforcement, SmileCare had no knowledge of the allegations and is cooperating fully with authorities. We regard our patients' rights to privacy and professionalism as fundamental. We will continue to cooperate with law enforcement in its investigation."

Robles is due at the Rio Hondo courthouse in El Monte on April 5, and he is being held at the county jail downtown in lieu of $320,000 bail.

Detectives are looking for any other possible victims. Anyone with information relevant to the case was urged to call the sheriff's Special Victims Bureau at (877) 710-5273.
