C-Webb in LA?

The Los Angeles Times reports today that Chris Webber would be willing to come to the Lakers in a trade for Shaquille O'Neal.Awww... that's nice of you, Chris.
LAist didn't realize that you had to be willing to come to the Lakers in order to be traded to them. We seem to remember that you weren't willing to go to Sacramento, but the Wizards traded you there anyways, and you finally sort of fulfilled the potential showed back when you were the No. 1 overall pick.
This is a non-story, but it's all over sports talk radio anyways. Tyra Banks' boyfriend always wanted to go to New York, LA, or some place with decent soul food restaurants, but the money and the talent just happened to be in Sac-Town.
In the meantime, a Chris Webber, Brad Miller, and Doug Christie for Shaq deal could be on the table, and it might not be all that bad. Miller is probably the third best center in the NBA after Shaq and Yao Ming, but there is a big gap between #2 and #3. Webber does have something to prove after his injury last year, but in recent years he hasn't been quite as aggressive to the basket as he was earlier in his career. He might only have two good years left, and he's making the maximum. And Doug Christie is a great defensive player, but his first stint on the Lakers was a failure, and most Angelenos won't know how to react to the NBA's most whipped player.
Besides, do the Lakers really want to make Sacramento the NBA champions thanks to a lineup of Shaq, Mike Bibby, Peja, and Bobby Jackson? Shaq may like the brothers Maloof, but we at LAist still believe that Sacramento is "semi-civilized."
