It's called VIN Number Window Etching.

Tomorrow, at the Westfield Fashion Square in Sherman Oaks, there will be an Auto Crime Prevention Clinic from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m with the LAPD. Get your learn on about Auto Safety, Car Burglary and Grand Theft Auto. The first 100 cars to show will have their VIN Number etched into their window compliments of Westfield. After that, they are done for the day, so get there early or you might want to ask your mechanic about where to get it done. It's only about $15 anyway.
