It's hard to believe someone obsessively adores socialite and heiress Paris Hilton this much, but 36-year-old James Rainford sure does. Enough to violate the restraining order taken out against him that prohibits him from being within 200 yards of Hilton or her homes, even. And yet there he was, shirtless, on the beach in Malibu yesterday afternoon, looking into Hilton's home.

The call to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station was regarding a "suspicious person standing on the beach" trying to get a glimpse inside Hilton's home, say the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The caller identified the man as being the same he'd seen in the news for attacking a male companion of Hilton's.

On scene, the paparazzi helped the deputies find Rainford, who, despite people looking at him, was still looking at Hilton's house.

Rainford was immediately arrested for violating the protective order, and is being held on $20,000 bail. Hilton watched the whole scene from her balcony.
