The suspect and the victim's stories differ, but one fact remains: an openly gay man was attacked with a "Yes on 8" sign. Prop 8, which seeks to eliminate gay marriage in California on next week's ballot, is the most contentious and watched ballot initiative across the country. 23-year-old Joseph Strom is due in Torrance Superior Court today for the Sunday night attack that sent the 22-year-old victim to the hospital with a inch long gash on his head.
