Good Samaritan Sexually Assaulted and Carjacked
After lending aid to a man who claimed to have just been attacked by gang members, she was sexually assaulted and carjacked by the man she was helping. It began Sunday night in Burbank when an 18-year-old woman was approached by the suspect who said he needed to get out of the area after just being "jumped" by four gangmembers.
"He displayed a calm and polite enough manner to lead the good samaritan to believe that he was a minimal risk," explained Robbery Homicide Detective Gregg Stone to LAist. They arrived to a North Hollywood parking lot at Victory and Vineland where he pulled a knife on her and forced her to drive some 20 miles to Santa Clarita. Once there, he sexually assaulted her before taking her car, leaving her there.
Now police searching for the suspect, an 180-pound male Hispanic between the ages of 22 and 26. He's estimated to be between 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall. The victim’s car is a 2000 Honda Accord, 4-door, silver in color, with a license plate of 6GMT752.
